What is Lock-in?
A focus app for Windows. You name a task, it stays on screen, and the sites you picked are blocked while the session runs. Students, people at work, and anyone whose attention wanders use the same app.
Does the free trial need a card?
No. Download it and use it for 7 days. The trial stays on your PC. It does not ask for a card or an account.
How much is it after that?
$5 a month, or $48 a year. The year is marked Save 20%, because $48 is 20% less than twelve months at $5.
How does the student price work?
On the purchase screen, type a .edu email. Checkout opens at 50% off: $2.50 a month or $24 a year. Lock-in does not keep the email. The discount is applied by the checkout page.
Which Windows versions?
Windows 10 and Windows 11. The installer is unsigned for now, so Windows SmartScreen may ask you to confirm it.
What gets blocked?
The categories you choose, plus any apps or sites you add. You can also limit one session to only the apps you pick. Windows itself, and Lock-in, keep working. A break pauses blocking.
Can sessions start on a schedule?
Yes, if you want them to. The default is manual: you click Start focus. You can also pick days, a start time, and a length, and Lock-in starts that session for you.
What do I see when a session ends?
One number: how long you focused in that session. Nothing else on that screen.
What does the tray icon mean?
Blue when you are on task, amber when you are drifting, a quiet green on a break, rose when something is blocked, and the plain mark when nothing is running.
Does it cover more than one monitor?
Yes. The block screen and the drift banner show on every monitor, at that monitor's scale.
What does the browser extension do?
It tells the desktop app which site is open, so a block can be the site rather than the whole browser. It talks only to Lock-in on this PC, at 127.0.0.1. You can skip it.
Where do I get a license key?
After you pay, the receipt has a key. Paste it into Lock-in. One key works on up to 3 PCs. A key from a different store will not activate.
