Lock-in

Terms

These terms cover the Lock-in app for Windows and this website. Lock-in is owned by William Magor. Last updated 23 October 2026.

The license

You may install Lock-in on your Windows PCs and use it for personal or work focus. You don't get ownership of the software. Don't resell it, don't claim it as your own product, and don't use it to break into someone else's computer.

Trial and payment

The first 7 days are free and do not need a card. After that, continued use needs a license: $5 a month or $48 a year. A .edu email can take 50% off at checkout. Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy, who is the seller of record. A license key from your receipt activates the app. One key can be active on 3 PCs. A key from a different store will not activate.

The build

Current installers are not code-signed. Windows may show a warning before it runs. You choose whether to continue.

What it may do

During a session, Lock-in can cover the screen, minimize or close a blocked app, and show a banner on your monitors. You choose the blocks. A locked session cannot be ended early until its timer finishes.

No warranty

Lock-in is provided as it is. It may fail to block a site, miss a window, or lose a session if the PC shuts down. William Magor is not liable for lost work, lost time, or decisions you make while using it, to the extent the law allows.

The site

The pages here describe the app. The FAQ is the only support channel. These terms can change as the app changes; the date at the top is the version you are reading.
